About The Program

The Koç Climate Tech Accelerator Program, a three-year program launched in collaboration with Koç Holding and Koç University Entrepreneurship Research Center KWORKS, will focus on "Water Stewardship" during the 2025-2026 period. The program aims to support scaleups that produce innovative, technology-based solutions in the water sector, and to contribute to the development of sustainable water management solutions through investment in innovation and technology. It also offers the opportunity to develop your business model through training, expert and mentor meetings, and to scale nationally and internationally through investor meetings and pilot project opportunities.

Which stage do I need to be in to be eligible for the program?
- Late-stage scaleups that have launched their product, achieved at least one product sale, and teams with an established structure are eligible to apply for the program. The preferred criteria include a minimum 2024 turnover of $150,000.
Is there any participation fee for the program?
- No, participation in the program is free.
What are the eligibility criteria for the program?
- We evaluate all scaleups applying to the program based on criteria such as team, innovation, product stage, market size, competitive advantage, scalability, feasibility, and compatibility with the program. These criteria include the scaleups unique and innovative technology, its ability to address one or more of the program's stated focus areas for operations, basins, and value chains, and the technology's market launch and sales.
Who are the members of the evaluation jury?
- The evaluation jury consists of experts from various disciplines, including Koç Holding senior executives, Koç GSYF executives, and KWORKS.
What is expected from scaleups in return for participating in the program?
- In return for the support we provide under the program, we request a 1.5% bonus stock option, exercisable within two years. In addition, scaleups are also offered the option to invest up to 2.5% by paying the full price during the investment round.
Does the program provide the opportunity to participate in international platforms?
- Yes. As part of the program, you will have the opportunity to participate in international platforms and events focused on water technologies and to promote your initiative.
Will expenses be covered for participation in events abroad?
- Yes. Event participation expenses for one person on behalf of the selected scaleups will be covered.
Is investment guaranteed as part of the program?
- Scaleups are not guaranteed investment; however, they will be offered the opportunity to meet with Koç Venture Capital Investment Fund (GSYF), Driventure, Tüpraş Ventures and other investor networks.
Will there be additional support for the entrepreneurs after the program?
- Program scaleups will continue to receive the same support KWORKS offers to alumni scaleups after the program. While it is not guaranteed, the opportunity to develop potential pilot projects with Koç Group companies may continue after the program.
